Dundaga dairy, 2001
- MediumAcrylic on chipboard
- Dimensions70.4 × 80.5 cm
Painting of the backside of Dundaga dairy building and a lake that surrounds Dundaga Castle.
The same spot was painted by my grandmother's uncle painter Teodors Jankevics in the 70s being a famous painter and me in 2001 while studying art in JRRMV. My grandmother Velta Lauksteine witnessed how both paintings were created and we were satisfied with the result.
It was interesting to see the reaction of people passing near me while I was painting. On the first day laughing and the next day being speechless of the result, it even created a traffic jam.
